Joan Barnes, Vice President of Marketing

Joan is responsible for developing and executing a marketing and public relations strategy that heightens awareness of CRF among its constituencies, for maintaining CRF’s brand integrity and for providing marketing support for CRF’s loan products and services. Prior to joining CRF, Joan worked with nonprofits and for-profit corporations as clients and as employers. Most recently, Joan served as President of Sweetspot, a strategic marketing and communications consulting company with a varied clientele that included a major law school, private companies of various sizes, and nonprofits. Her other positions were as a Marketing and Public Relations Consultant for Conga Brand Consulting, and as the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation at Hennepin County Medical Center.
