CRF's Summer 2014 Interns

By: Jess Bolin, HR Intern and Keaton Everett, Marketing Intern

Every summer, CRF provides young talent experience in the field of economic development. As a small nonprofit of less than 60 employees, this year's crew of a dozen individuals is a welcome addition.

As part of CRF's efforts to train the next generation of community development professionals, CRF offers students and recent graduates insight into the different components that contribute to a healthy, mission-driven nonprofit. The internship program has become one of the most respected opportunities in the Twin Cities, often leading to full-time employment.

Known for their lending to underrepresented groups such as minorities and women, CRF is paving the way to community financing and much needed economic development.  CRF interns assist in six different departments including Marketing, Underwriting, Asset Management, Servicing, IT, and Human Resources. They come from a variety of backgrounds, such as Marketing and Communications, Economics and Mathematics, and the Social Sciences.

For the summer of 2014, interns travelled from seven different colleges and universities throughout the United States to work with CRF. Additionally, many interns hail from countries half-way around the globe, excited by the opportunity to be a part of such a unique nonprofit. You can meet this summer's interns through an interactive presentation:
