Partner Spotlight: OBDC Small Business Finance

CRF is proud to collaborate with organizations that have a

passion for helping small businesses, particularly those owned by minorities, women and veterans or that are located in low-income communities. This month's spotlight shines on one of our amazing partners, OBDC Small Business Finance.

Mission: to create economic opportunity by empowering entrepreneurs

OBDC Small Business Finance has been empowering entrepreneurs since 1979, helping create thousands of new jobs in the Bay Area. They provide loans up to $250,000, as well as small business advising services.

"OBDC is thrilled to partner with CRF to help entrepreneurs get access to the
credit they need. The referral process with CRF is fast, easy for the borrowers, and
has enabled more small business owners in the Bay Area (and beyond) to access capital. The thousands of jobs our clients create help make our communities stronger and more vibrant."

- Jacob Singer, President & CEO, OBDC Small Business Finance

Their innovative partnerships, like the one with CRF, help provide small business
owners with capital, education, and relationships that allow them to flourish. The jobs
that their small business clients create and the economic development that occurs in
low-to-moderate income communities has immense impact.

"Jacob Singer, OBDC's President and CEO, has built OBDC into a dynamic and
powerful economic development organization," said Gary Holmquist, CRF's Vice
President of Business Development & Innovation. "Under his leadership, he has
developed a strong team of professionals making economic impact throughout the Bay
Area. CRF is proud to partner with OBDC in their efforts to strengthen the Bay Area's
economy, lend in low income, underserved communities, and provide expanded
opportunity to minority business owners and employees."

OBDC is always looking for new and strategic ways to impact more entrepreneurs.
In January, they began service as the new host of Alameda County's Small Business
Development Center (SBDC), a move designed to grow services and capacity, and
serve the small business community with far greater breadth and depth.

Thank you OBDC for your commitment to helping small businesses expand in size,
increase profits, and reach their goals!
